Shinrin-Yoku
Guided Forest Bathing
Using all five senses, with a qualified Shinrin-Yoku guide we'll reconnect with the natural world as we listen to the rustling leaves, feel the texture of tree bark and bamboo, inhale the earthy forest air, savour nature's fruits and roots, and observe the interplay of light and shadow. In this tranquil setting, you'll experience a profound sense of harmony and presence while reflecting on the restorative power of nature.

Zen Meditation & Sutra Experience
Japan's Best Kept Secret
Kokeizan Eihoji Temple founded in 1313 contains two buildings that are listed as National Treasures. The temple grounds and gardens have been designated as a place of National Scenic Beauty. Here we will take in the beauty of koyo, autumn foliage, as we walk around the Zen garden after morning mediation and Shakyo, zen sutra tracing.

Cha no yu
Farewell Tea Ceremony
Discover how to balance the principles of harmony, respect, purity, and tranquility in a bowl of tea, with a private tea ceremony in a traditional chashitsu tea room.

Pottery Workshop

Equipped with facilities for wheel throwing and painting, Kokei-Gama will ensure that you'll enjoy making pottery, whether it's creating a piece with the potter's wheel, hand-building, or painting. Your unique piece of pottery will be fired and shipped to your home country.

Ikigai Diet Cooking Class
The secret Japanese diet to health and longevity
Take cooking classes with the ‘Natto King, ikigai author and ikigai biohacker, Sachiaki Takamiya. You'll learn what to eat, what not to eat, and how to eat, based on traditional Japanese natural living practices which are central to most Japanese martial arts; healing arts; Zen; and the macrobiotic diet.

Masu Box Making Workshop
Make an original square wooden masu cup for sake drinking at one of the largest masu cup producers in Japan.
Learn about the role of the masu cups in Japan's modern-day sake culture. Originally a measuring cup for foods such as rice and soy sauce, the Masu was used to measure rice when it was common as a form of currency. The term “Masu” translates to “growth” in Japanese, and is thus an icon of prosperity and great happiness.
