Design A New Life with Ikigai & Yutori
A 2-hour live workshop to help you find clarity, purpose, and breathing room.
In Japan, there's a word for the life you're meant to live — ikigai. And another for the unhurried spaciousness that makes living it possible — yutori. Together, they offer something most of us are quietly craving: a way to live with both purpose and ease.
In two focused hours, you'll explore what ikigai and yutori actually mean — not as abstract philosophy, but as practical tools for designing a life that feels unmistakably yours. You'll leave with more than knowledge. You'll leave with direction.

YOUR HOSTS

NICHOLAS KEMP
Nicholas Kemp is an international keynote speaker, facilitator, author, and founder of Ikigai Tribe.
He spent over a decade living in Japan and collaborates with leading Japanese researchers, including Prof. Ken Mogi and Professor Daiki Kato, on ikigai and related concepts such as rolefulness and ibasho.
His Ikigai Coach Certification represents the culmination of his lived experience in Japan, together with more than six years of dedicated research and study into the psychology and practice of ikigai.

CHIE SAWA
With over 20 years of clinical experience and a lifelong passion for psychology, Chie Sawa has had the profound privilege of witnessing human transformation up close, including co-founding and leading a group private practice.
From that foundation, she felt called to create something beyond traditional psychotherapy: a sanctuary for thoughtful, creative, intuitive, and introspective leaders. A space to pause, breathe, and set aside the roles they carry before returning to the world with clear energy and a light heart. That vision became Thrive Life Design.
YUTORI
In Japan, yutori describes the practice of leaving room. Room in your schedule. Room in your mind. Room in your life for what actually matters. It's leaving early enough to arrive with plenty of time, rather than rushing to get there. It's finishing a thought before the next one begins. It's the longer pause between the inhale and the exhale.
Special guest Chie Sawa is a Japan-born, U.S.-trained bilingual Certified Clinical Psychologist, Certified Public Psychologist, and Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 20 years of clinical experience. Chie will guide you through the practice of creating a personal sanctuary — and bring more yutori into your life.
